Széchenyi István Primary School once again opened the biggest number of first grade classes in Severnobački district – 10. This school year, 140 first graders enrolled at our school in Serbian and Hungarian class languages, and will attend classes in our 4 buildings.
On the occasion of the upcoming school year, on Wednesday, August 31, we organized a formal reception for the first-graders at our school, which was attended by more than 300 parents, relatives as well as teachers, guests, local government’s and the National Council of the Hungarian Ethnic Minority’s representatives. The first-graders were greeted with a welcoming performance by lower-school students, and they were given gift packages for the beginning of the new, school chapter of their lives from the City and the National Council of the Hungarian Ethnic Minority.
